Article by Shanker Kukreja

Industrial jewels (or jewels for industries) are required widely for all manner of things like industries, laboratories, research departments of colleges, universities and all manner of other things. It must be remembered that the jewels that are used for industries are never of the same specifications as the jewels that are used for making jewelry. This is an important consideration, and a consideration that one must have while making industrial jewels, that is jewels for industries. Jewels for industries are very commonly used and have a number of applications in the present. Industrial jewel making is a craft by itself. Industrial jewels have a number of important applications in the present day and for all of these reasons, it is really important to get the industrial jewels manufactured by reputed industries so that no manufacturing defects are necessarily made. The applications of industrial jewels are many. Jewels are used most notably in the watch industry, and in the industry that specializes in making timepieces. Jewels are also required for all manner of scientific fields that could be either in physics or chemistry, or sometimes even in biology. The applications of industrial jewels for engineering, and mechanical applications is something that is widely documented in the present. For industrial applications, very fine glass is sometimes also (although a bit dubiously) referred to as a semi precious industrial jewel. Top Reasons why We Still Love CD Jewel Cases

Article by Jaine Kaif

Despite the fad of new and more creative types of CD packaging, CD jewel cases remain the number one choice of many musicians, distributors, and marketers. CD jewel cases are also preferred by people in the media. The guys in radio get pissed whenever artists send those big boxes of irregular-shaped CD packaging. They appreciate the extra effort but they much prefer CD packaging that would fit in their CD racks-and that’s none other than…yup, the one and only CD jewel case.CD Jewel cases are more organized. This is just to reiterate the point I mentioned above. CD jewel case is the standard case for CDs therefore CD racks and stands are designed to fit the dimensions of CD jewel cases only. CD wallets and custom-designed packaging would not be properly protected when they are in CD stands and they would also make your shelf look disorganized. I have a stack of empty CD jewel cases at home for the CDs I bought that are in other types of packaging. I transfer these CDs to the CD jewel cases just so my collection is more pleasing to the eyes and I would have less clutter in my shelf. Yes, I’m anal like that but trust me, may people are as organized as I am.CD jewel cases do not stick to each other. One of the reasons why I also don’t prefer paper CD packaging is that through time, they tend to stick to each other especially if you store them in a humid area. Try to leave them untouched for a year and the panels will stick to each other. You will get the creak, creak sound when you try to separate them. There is a chance the artwork would peel-off,too. Tsk! It’s even worse when the CD packaging is made of really thin cardboard. The paper could stick to the CD. (Oh no!) You know what I mean. I’m sure you’ve experienced this before. I am not so sure if it affects the quality of the CD but these scenarios just makes me love CD jewel cases more.CD jewel cases can be replaced. Most CD cases are sturdy but they can be destroyed, too if handled roughly. There are those CD jewel cases that do not close and open smoothly because it’s a bit misaligned or there are some small chips of plastic left during manufacturing. When you try to force it to close, CRACK! It gets broken. But the good thing is that CD jewel cases are inexpensive, accessible, and you can easily replace them. When you have a CD wallet, digipak, or CD jackets, and they get wet or torn, you cannot save the artwork because it’s directly placed in the packaging.
